We were commissioned by the brewery to create a life-size sculpture of Kosmos Spoetzl. They provided the design and we did the rest. Dan studied the face of Mr. Spoetzl from old photographs and sculpted his face and head out of clay. We then made a mold and cast it out of polyurethane resin. The body, bottle cap stand, and post were constructed of foam, fiberglass, and epoxy, and then carefully painted. The only part we didn’t make is his signature hat, which the brewery provided!
